Murder in the Austrian hinterlands. Chief Inspector Heimo Kapeller's neck is on the block. His career is in political limbo after a botched murder investigation. When the same killer strikes again, Heimo has a choice - either redeem himself or be cashiered from the only job he's ever wanted.
