There were also moments of recession but an attempt was made to make them appear as minor problems, presenting them as the repercussions of crises originating in other countries, which Argentina would resolve quickly. These justifications for economic stagnation and the growth of poverty are not possible today because - given that more than a decade has passed - it can be seen that the negative effects were the most noticeable and have continued over time.
