Trade Secret are the newest and hottest boyband on the showbiz circuit and Olivia, Cat, Jensen and Jeannie, four girls in their late teens, are their biggest fans. They create and write an outlandish, funny and OTT fanfic on the band's official website which earns a cult following. Soon other fans are contributing to the fanfic and the girls lap up the plaudits. But one fan, Millie Davies a well-known internet 'troll' relishes in denouncing their writing and quickly makes an enemy of the quartet.
When news of Trade Secret holding a signing to promote their new single arises, the girls plan to meet up and give the boys their fanfic. Millie is also determined to meet them - especially her favourite Ethan James, the sexy lead singer. However, when Millie and Ethan do come face to face, their meeting has serious consequences for Ethan and it's up to the girls to help save the day.
