As her sisters and brother marry in turn, Katie's role as Mother to her siblings is now complete. But life isn't quite so easy just yet. As the Country faces troubled times ahead, so too does the family. Waring relatives, rushed nuptules and accidental pregnancies, are a distraction from the separation of her and Pete, which the army force on them both.
