À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Peter Caws

Peter Caws grew up in England and studied science; then he moved to America and studied philosophy. He has spent his life in universities (most recently at The George Washington University in Washington, D. C.) and has published ten books and many articles on learned subjects. However he has had three children - two girls and a boy - and has read and told them many bedtime stories over the years. And he has written other things as well - poems and short stories, a few of which have been published.
There is more information on all this at his website, where you can meet him when he was two and can make him clap his hands. He likes traveling, especially by train, but he has never been up in a space ship (and he knows that space travel isn't quite as simple in real life as it is made to seem in The Astrocats - but that's what imagination is for). Of the three cats he is most like William, but he admires Jane and has a lot of sympathy for George.
Nancy Breslin grew up in New Jersey. While her favorite subject in high school was art, she studied biology in college and went to medical school. After a decade working as a psychiatrist, she decided in 1997 to leave medicine to pursue a second career as an artist. She specializes in pinhole photography, and also works with toy cameras, alternative photographic processes, and video (samples of which you can see at www.nancybreslin.com).
In a pinch she can draw cats. She teaches photography part-time at the University of Delaware.
