Alícia Garcia is a young woman who has gone through disastrous moments in love. After being abused and hurt by her ex-boyfriend, who tried to kill her in high school, she could hardly wait to leave the city and get as far away as possible from the tragedy that occurred. When she moves to New York, she starts her life over and gets a job as a secretary. When her boss, who soon becomes her friend, is set to marry at a beach house, Alícia feels almost obligated to attend to honor the person who has always supported her.
Upon arriving at the location, her boss's brother, Heitor Smith, appears, and a tumultuous encounter takes place.
