Hello, my fellow deplorables (a term of endearment among Republicans in the U. S., by the way), and welcome to my book. I wrote this book to help my fellow down-home Christian (mostly) conservative Republicans understand "the other side, " AKA Liberals (booo). What's the purpose of this book, you ask? Let's say you sit down to a holiday dinner, or even just a friendly meal on a weekend. Across from you is a polite young man and you get to talking politics or current events with them.
Perhaps they're a friend or relative or person from church. Suddenly they make a remark (such as "I think it's a woman's right to choose" or "Black Lives Matter" that sets the warning sirens off in your head. LIBERAL ALERT, LIBERAL ALERT your mind screams. What do you do? What do you say? Well, before you go screaming at them, telling them how foolish they are to hold such views, how naïve and uninformed they are, take a breather and try to understand their viewpoint so you can teach them why they're wrong.
You've heard the phrase you get more bees with honey, right? It's the same thing with liberals. You convert libtards to upstanding conservative voters not by insulting them but by showing them why they are wrong. You show them why they're wrong by understanding them. That is what I'm here to help with. Within this book we will look at some of the hot bed topics that cause liberals and conservatives to disagree so much.
I'm going to offer some possible explanations as to why liberals feel the way they do (as much as I can stomach, anyway) and then offer tips on how to turn the tables on your misguided liberal friend or relative. Why does it matter, you might ask? Why do you care what liberals think of you? Well, let's say they're your niece or nephew, brother or sister, grandchild or child. Do you want to just disown/disavow/excommunicate them? Do you want all future dinners to be awkward affairs where you're walking on eggshells to not offend their liberal feelings? If you answered no to any of those questions, then this book is for you.
