Résumé

The Mahabharata, one of the greatest epics in world literature, is a vast and complex story that deals with many themes, including family, duty, honour, and war. At the centre of this epic is the character of Krishna, who plays a pivotal role in the story's plot and themes. Krishna, the eighth avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu, is considered one of the most important deities in Hinduism, and his influence extends beyond religion to art, literature, and culture. In this book, we will explore the role of Krishna in the Mahabharata and examine how his actions and teachings shape the story's narrative and themes.
We will delve into the historical and mythological context of the Mahabharata and examine the cultural significance of Krishna's character. We will also explore the lasting impact of Krishna's story on Indian culture and spirituality, as well as its relevance to contemporary society. Throughout the book, we will draw upon a wide range of sources, including ancient texts, scholarly research, and popular culture.
We will examine the story of Krishna from multiple angles, looking at his birth and childhood, his role in the Mahabharata war, and his legacy in Indian culture. We will also explore the Bhagavad Gita, a central text in Hinduism that features Krishna's teachings on duty, morality, and spirituality. Overall, this book aims to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of the role of Krishna in the Mahabharata and the significance of his story for Hinduism and Indian culture.
We hope that by the end of this book, readers will gain a deeper appreciation for the complexity and depth of the Mahabharata and the enduring legacy of Krishna's character. The author's intention is to delve into Krishna's role in the Mahabharata and how his actions and teachings shape the overall narrative and themes. It is intriguing to learn that Krishna's influence extends beyond religion and permeates art, literature, and culture.
