Résumé

In 1954, President Lyndon B. Johnson launched a bold initiative to combat poverty in America with the Economic Opportunity Act. This groundbreaking legislation introduced programs like Head Start, Job Corps, Urban/Rural Community Action, and VISTA, all aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty that persists across generations. With ample funding and innovative design, these programs made significant strides in reducing family poverty from 1964 to 1975, resulting in a 7% decline nationwide.
Unfortunately, the progress was halted in 1975 when a new child support law came into effect, undoing the advancements made by the Economic Opportunity Act. The issue with H. R 17045 law was that it focused solely on collecting child support payments from non-custodial parents, without addressing the root causes of poverty and providing support to low-income families. As a result, many families struggled to make ends meet and children continued to grow up in poverty.
In order to truly break the intergenerational poverty cycle, it is essential to implement comprehensive and holistic strategies that address the underlying issues that contribute to poverty. This includes access to quality education, affordable healthcare, job training and opportunities, affordable housing, and support for mental health and substance abuse issues. Additionally, policies and programs should focus on empowering families and individuals to improve their financial stability and well-being, rather than solely relying on punitive measures such as child support enforcement.
By investing in programs that support families and address the systemic barriers that perpetuate poverty, we can make meaningful progress towards breaking the intergenerational poverty cycle and creating a more equitable society for all. It is crucial to educate oneself about the challenges and complexities of systems like the child support system to effectively address them and work towards breaking the cycle of poverty.
Understanding the barriers and traps within the system is a key step in advocating for change and creating a more equitable environment for families. Empowering children with hope and setting attainable goals for them can have a significant impact on breaking the intergenerational poverty cycle. By instilling a sense of purpose and optimism in children, we can help them navigate challenges and strive towards a brighter future.
Continuing to seek out information, resources, and support is essential in this journey towards breaking the cycle of poverty. Books, like" The family Child Support Conspiracy", can provide valuable insights and guidance on how to navigate these complex systems and work towards positive change. By taking proactive steps, educating oneself, and instilling hope in future generations, we can make meaningful progress in breaking the intergenerational poverty cycle and creating a more just and equitable society for all.
Happy reading and best of luck on your journey towards positive change.

Biographie de James Street

I decided to write this book to share my experience about the other side of the Child Support system, here in the United States. I believe that there are three sides to every story, the Petitioner side (the person expecting Child Support. The Non-Petitioner side, who is called the Responded (the person paying the child support; and the truth, which is usually somewhere in the middle (that's the Family Court System of the united states of America).
The hard thing about this topic of "child support", isboth sides totally believe that their point of view is 100% correct. Can both parties be correct...at the same time? There is a saying "that Your reality is your truth "; can that be the answer or perhaps only one side of this topic is being told. The side that this Child Support System is showing. I can tell you, I've lived on both sides of this topic.
I've spend over a decade researching this complex, but fascinating health and Human Services billion-dollar family court system; and was surprised by the truth I discovered. Remember, I said the truth of a matter usually is somewhere in the middle of what both sides believe to be true. Well, one thing I discovered is not only is the petitioner paid by this system but Judges, Magistrates Lawyers, Court Officers, Police officers and Private Investigators are also paid from your child support money.
How is that? I believe, before you enter this system or advise anyone to use this Family Court System, you'd want to read this book and get the facts.
