Matt Reynolds has hung up his pastoral hat and begun a new career in retail management. He and Beth and their children have moved away from rural East Texas to the big city where they settle on a pleasant street in a quiet suburb and plan to make it their forever home. But the young family's American dream is about to become a nightmare. As the days pass some very odd things begin to happen: unexplained noises at night, framed portraits flung from walls, decorative items smashed, personal items hidden, water taps turning on by themselves, and things flying through the air in plain sight.
All these things are bad enough, but when the children begin to talk about two men who regularly visit the house .
