A gunfighter, Chad Hollister, is hired by Colonel Clayton to prevent a ruthless cattle baron from taking over the colonel's ranch in Tomahawk Valley, Texas. The cattle baron, Jeb Macready, is a former outlaw who orders his men to kill Chad Hollister, but the gunfighter survives all attempts on his life, gunning down the members of Macready's gang one by one. In the middle of this bloody conflict, the colonel is visited by his niece from Baltimore, Evelyn Brent, who is eager to experience life in the Wild West.
Evelyn is a liberated young lady who likes to have fun and she is soon involved in a passionate affair with Chad Hollister. When Evelyn is kidnapped by Jeb Macready, Hollister organizes a posse to attack the cattle baron's ranch.
