Résumé

Returning home after five years, Sherman Allen finds the life he left behind is gone forever. A chance discovery of a cache of Spanish Gold Coins brings him new clients and the start of a new life and a chance for happiness. An Aztec Codex, a map to the fabled City of El Dorado, a client's attempt to launder millions of dollars in cash, an ancient Chinese Princess' treasure require Sherman Allen to put his life on the line for his clients.
A plea from an old friend in a Federal Prison, and a Nevada speculator's greed complicate Sherman's return to San Francisco and threaten to bring his journey to an end. A final sacrifice and a dashed hope for happiness bring an end to a five five year quest and a realization that there are no happy ending in his life.
