Molina presents his debut work, "THE LAST WORD: SEEKING" captivating us with a story that transports us and leaves an indelible mark on our minds. This novel has received prominent reviews on specialized platforms, such as the following from the eminent Jose Luis Bolaños. Eva the heroine, is the first surprise you encounter in the work, her confidence, independence, and ability to navigate through a deteriorated Earth reminded me of VIERNES, the adventurous character in Robert A.
Heinlein's eponymous text. Similarly, the synthesis of the desperate situation follows the trail laid by Kim Stanley Robinson in his superb work THE MINISTRY FOR THE FUTURE. Glaciers are disappearing, and the panorama is bleak, but the mission commanded by Eva offers a glimmer of hope. The union of Chile and Argentina, owners of much of the Andes ice, stand as the technological and political power of Earth.
A situation reminiscent of Lyon Sprague De Camp in his VIAGENS INTERPLANETARIAS series. Leading in science and technology grants them the ability to decide where to allocate resources, and they choose to launch a manned spacecraft to Alpha Centauri, the nearest star system, traveling at over 80% of the speed of light. The narrative follows a logical and compelling approach and reads easily. Vivid and detailed, the descriptions vibrate and envelop us.
JuanFran G. Molina offers understandable, scenes reminiscent of those Kubrick provided us with in 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.  While Eva's loneliness begins to be felt, we arrive at the navigation in interstellar void, with moments of maximum tension in the extravehicular maneuver. The biosphere of a new world will be reviewed, Eva's explorations on the ground will abound, while the omniscient narrator observes her, maintaining the empathy of an elder brother.
And indeed, she becomes excited and pulses, and that helps her stay sane. Her observation of the firmament also contributes. Eva adds the title of settler to astronaut. In the second part, we get more astonishing discoveries, but incorporating spirituality, maintaining an excellent pedagogical cadence, so much so that it could be a manual for an entity from another world to understand and interpret us.  I don't want to spoil what follows.
Trust in what I say, it will shake you and leave you astonished; recommending it is an understatement, it's indispensable. I will close by reiterating that at the end the emotion reaches levels bordering on the sublime.
