Résumé

Two stories of a different sort: History, romance, action and the life of ranching in New Mexico. The stories toggle between 1862 and 2012. Faced with her husband's infidelity in 2012, Carolina longs to return to her first love. She betrayed Travis once. Travis refuses her advances because he is running a ranch and raising two girls alone. He does not trust her with his heart. In 1862  Morgan falls in love with Sophia when she tends the wounds he acquired during the battle of Glorieta Pass, the only Civil War battle ever fought in New Mexico.
Morgan belongs to the Second Texas Mounted Regiment stationed at San Antonio. When the war is over he returns to New Mexico, his heart set on searching for the girl with the stormy blue eyes. While looking for lost cattle he rescues a man drowning in the raging River. He is swept into 1988. Morgan battles modern day cattle rustlers, range fires and raises an orphaned Carolina. The day he meets Charlie Dunn, an old man living on The River, his world is turned upside down.
Charlie tells him that there is a way back if he wants to risk his life. Morgan is faced with a heartbreaking decision.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de sandra allensworth

After spending her youth on Southern California beaches, she moved to New Mexico where she finished her education and began her working career in the field of Interior Design. This endeavor allowed her to pursue her real love-Ranching. Her many years in the ranching business lends authenticity to her writing. When she writes about branding, building fences, working cattle, and all other aspects of ranching she knows what she is writing about.
She has done it all. She lived in New Mexico for many years before retiring to Tennessee where she continues to write and enjoy her family and gardening. She has published The Other Side of The River and is at work on a prequel. She also has an anecdotal book about the tribulations of being a landlord in New Mexico in the works. She brings her life experiences to her writing.
