In the afterlife, Sippian finds himself in Hell, where he assumes the role of Death also known as a Soul Gitter. The story delves into his struggles as he tries to understand the complex rules, shadowy figures, and the very concept of morality he faces in this new existence.
The gritty narrative explores the intricacies of the job of those like Sippian who are now Soul Gitters. Especially, when the bosses in Hell and the Employees working there are, of course, dubious characters. However, with each new assignment, Sippian encounters startling revelations and learns in his effort to be Number 1, it will come with a significant price.
