A researcher goes to a town in Wyoming, a fictional Rigsby, to help an author decide if the history of the area can be used to write a fiction book using that history. She meets a rancher who decides she is not a good girl but a bad one like the one who lured his brother off the ranch. He treats her badly and her Irish rises up so that they do not talk about the issue between them. They both have a passionate nature which becomes anger and elevates their encounters to be ones of anger.
The small townspeople find the whole thing amusing and so do not try to clear up the problem between the couple. How will the truth come out to give them a chance for love?
