Résumé

The Barclay Heath Mysteries are set in a whimsical alternate-1920s, where humanity has ventured out into the stars but Twenties values and attitudes prevail. Barclay Heath is a gentleman detective enjoying semi-retirement from Earth's Secret Service. Unfortunately for Heath, murder and subterfuge are never far away. As he travels the cosmos, he comes up against fiendish plots involving mysterious lost races, strange alien artefacts and, of course, a generous sprinkling of devious humans.
THE VANISHED RACE is approximately 33, 000 words long and specially formatted by Rob Siders of 52 Novels with an active table of contents. Cover artwork and design by Steve Upham (Screaming Dreams). Praise for THE HOTEL GALILEO (First book in the Barclay Heath Mystery Series)"If Agatha Christie wrote science fiction, she'd have stayed at the Hotel Galileo. Lee Moan captures the essence of the British Mystery added with the political tension of a Babylon 5 episode.
Barclay Heath is a futuristic Hercule Poirot, a descendant of the gentleman detective, and is surrounded by a rich plethora of sidekicks and suspects that would make the Orient Express seem bland. An enjoyable read for those who like their mysteries in hard vacuum."DAVID BOOP - Author of 'She Murdered Me with Science'"At its heart I would say this story is Sherlock Holmes meets Star Trek meets 28 Days Later.
That's a mix that would be easy to do poorly, but Lee Moan doesn't, he balances all the different aspects of the tale with skill and art and conjures up a story that is sure to delight."RHONDA PARRISH, editor of Niteblade Magazine"Lee Moan brings a fresh voice to the emerging proto-historical science fiction aesthetic. The Hotel Galileo iswell-plotted, fast-paced. A Roaring Twenties-style mystery set aboard a space liner, which will leave you wondering'Whodunit' the moment you crack open the pages."LAWRENCE DAGSTINE, Author of 'Fresh Blood' (Sam's Dot Publishing)Books in the Barclay Heath Mystery Series:THE HOTEL GALILEOTHE VANISHED RACEAbout the AuthorA recent finalist in L Ron Hubbard's Writers of the Future Contest, Lee Moan's stories have appeared in numerous print and online publications including Niteblade, Dark Recesses, Hub Magazine, Murky Depths, and Jupiter SF.
His first novel, The Hotel Galileo, was published by Wolfsinger Publications in 2009. Look out for Volume 3 in the near future!
