But when she learns Lawrence never intended to marry her, she ends the relationship which infuriates him. Lawrence's younger brother Jacob, her childhood friend, moves into Agnes' hut in the forest to protect her. Agnes and Jacob's friendship evolves, and Agnes starts to reciprocate Jacob's attraction, but as the two cautiously start talking of a future together a problem arises: Agnes is expecting Lawrence's child. If you enjoy medieval romance with a hint of fantasy this novel might be for you. The Wise Woman's Mistake is the third book in the series Dynasties and Desire and an independent continuation of The Lady's Dilemma.
It is set in a fictional medieval Danish court and about 80, 000 words (300 pages) about friends to lovers, going from desire to hate, and facing brutal decisions regarding the future of your child, with a happily ever after.
