The Ainsworth Family, English aristocrats, move into their new manor. It lay a short distance across the river Lee and up the hill from the Brannan sheep farm. A chance meeting, and sparks of attraction fly between Adam, the Ainsworths' son, and Aislinn, the farmer's daughter. Upon learning of Adam's affection for her, his parents are dismayed. Aislinn, a common Irish lass, could never be a suitable wife for their son. Adam's mum sets him up with a lovely visitor from England.
Emily arrives with hopes of winning his love. Despite his mum, Adam and Aislinn fight to maintain their relationship. Torn by love-someone's heart will be broken.
