When 15-year-old Thembeka falls pregnant and her angry traditional father chases her away, she leaves Peddie, her hometown, for Grahamstown. Years later, she is murdered by her best friend who wastes no time in illtreating Thembeka's now 14 year-old daughter, making her a sex slave to men old enough to be the child's father. Will the poor child survive the life she later learnt was lived by her late mother?
