Résumé

The purpose of this book? Who is this book for?A few children in this world suffer at the hands of their parents, oblivious to the world outside. With a lack of financial independence and a voice of their own, the abuse goes on for years behind closed doors. If you were one such individual born in an unfortunate and abnormal household, then this book is meant for you. By reading this book you'll be able to Understand why your childhood was abnormal or different from the other kids.
Learn how to deal with your narcissistic parent and his manipulative and abusive behaviours. Become aware of all the dysfunctional beliefs and habits that were deeply rooted in you during childhood and understand how to reprogram yourself. Find out how to counteract the post-traumatic stress, anxiety and insecurity that comes with conditional parenting. Revalidate your existence and encourage you to focus on important aspects and goals in your life.
Learn to sever toxic relationships, even if they are your family members. Learn to value your peace and happiness. Put you on a path towards healing, growth and progress. The dark shadows of childhood  I was raised by a narcissistic father, and at a tender age, I couldn't understand or relate to his outbursts of anger and tantrums. It left me confused and emotionally bruised, as I often wondered if I was to blame.
But slowly, over the years, as I gained access to a library and immersed myself in countless books and online resources, I began to connect the dots. The patterns of control, manipulation, and emotional abuse were glaring, and I came to realize they fell under what is termed as "narcissism" or the "narcissistic pattern of abuse." As I navigated through my healing, I felt a deep calling to share my knowledge and experiences, hoping to help those enduring similar toxic homes.
I want to provide clarity for those who are too lost in the fog to understand the abusive behaviour they face daily. Understanding toxic parenting is the first step toward breaking free from its hold and reclaiming your life. It's not an easy journey, but it's possible if you are determined to do so. One crucial piece of advice I cannot stress enough is the importance of learning to go "No Contact" with your abuser.
It's not just an act of defiance; it's a form of self-preservation. Cutting ties with the abuser is about safeguarding yourself from further harm and protecting your peace. At some point, you have to take control of your mental space and re-birth your existence. You have to make the conscious decision to consider this person as no longer existing in your life (dead), at least in your mind. The process of detachment might feel weird, but it is indispensable for your growth, healing, and ultimately finding freedom from the emotional chains they have wrapped around you. Remember, it's okay to walk away, even if it's from someone who gave you life.
It's your responsibility to protect your dignity and peace. Letting go is not a weakness; it is a sign of strength to reclaim your power and venture into a happy and toxic-free life.
