Vigilante is a short story about a small-town police detective called upon to assist in the investigation of the bombing of a motorcycle gang's clubhouse. The reader follows the junior detective through his fact-gathering process and eventually learns the identity of the bomber.

Brian A. Hammar was born and raised in Lowell Massachusetts. After six years in the Air Force he settled in New Hampshire where he worked as an Engineer and Project Manager in commercial and industrial construction and renovation. During that time he began writing fiction and joined a group of writers known as the Tyngsborough Writers Group at the library in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. He found the group most helpful for their criticism and encouragement.
Mike Johnson was born and raised in and around Lowell, Massachusetts.
He has held a variety of positions including that of police dispatcher and police officer. He and his wife own and operate a music store in Dracut, MA. They reside in Massachusetts.
