Résumé

The sequel to Chrome Pink. Dana Windley is tired of dating jerks. When "Agent Sexy, " SBI Agent Jake Monroe returns to Leeward, Dana is determined to get her man, but between the Leeward Beauty Pageant, helping improve Malcolm Bryant's image and saving her dating club, Cupid's Zone, when does a woman have time for romance. Jake doesn't have time for anything but work. If he did, Dana would be at the top of his to-do list.
Forced to take vacation, Jake uses this time to prove Malcolm is taking over the darker side of the Bryant family business. Everything goes back to a twenty-year old cold case and a missing Mexican girl. While Dana Windley channels her vast energy into an array of jobs and projects to support her community and her budding own business, she can't ignore the strong attraction she has to Agent Monroe.  As he digs deeper into the Bryant family business, an old cold case heats up and so does his romance with Dana.
They find themselves in the middle of a dark web of secrets and lies. Can they untangle the truth before the local pageant is derailed and sex traffickers target their beauty contestants?

À propos des auteurs

People have often asked me why I don't write about my adventures raising six sons. I have to admit that I prefer to write their stories as fiction because no one believes the stuff they put me through if I tell it as fact. In fiction I can clean my boys up a little when I like them and make them the heroes of my stories and if they've pissed me off, I can make them the villains. It's been a running joke around our house that mom will put you in her book and kill you off on page fifty, but some know they're the smelly corpse discovered in the ditch at the very beginning of the story.
Heck, it's not even a threat anymore my grandkids are begging to be put in my books and even telling me how I can kill them off. I mean really, where's the threat in that? We put the fun in dysfunctional, what can I say? I have long conversations with my children and grandchildren about blowing things up and how to get rid of bodies. The holidays are never boring around our house. People have often asked me why I don't write about my adventures raising six sons.
