Résumé

Leila loves so much that she considers abandoning her religion and beliefs to service her desire. Rafia gives so much to her husband and family that she loses all sight of the woman she once was, and who she wants to be. Tabani turns 30 and is told she would be too much for any romantic relationship, but in her friendships she is able to be every inch of herself. Womanhood cannot be contained or summarised neatly, and each of these three women are fighting to carve out exactly what it means to them.
The records of their lives offer insight into generational divides, unspoken duties and unmet needs, and is an honest and moving map for anyone wanting to better understand their place and purpose. For fans of Three Women, Crying in H Mart and Love in Colour, through stepping into the shoes of each of these women this book will inspire empathy, rage and care and is a manifesto to let women be whomever they want to be.
In Womanhood, there should be no such thing as too much.
