Wounded Warriors follows Lieutenant Jesse and Sergeant James from a firefight in Afghanistan back to Ohio. Instead of being greeted as heroes, they are persecuted and hunted. This is too much for Ohioans in general and for the certain Ohioans in particular. See what happens when the Federal Government pushes regular people, and regular heroes, just a little too far. Wounded Warriors was written after JT encountered returning veterans learning to rock climb in Kentucky and West Virginia.
Their tales of heroism, and their tales of mismanagement fueled the writing of the story. Please enjoy this sample of Wounded Warriors"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people.
Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes."Major General Smedley Darlington ButlerThe War in Afghanistan is the longest war in U. S. history.
