Résumé

It's five years later. Battle-scarred and weary, yet still full of hope, Ted keeps trudging on searching for his family. This time, however, he learns of a clue that could change everything. Disease, starvation, lawlessness, and loneliness plague his daily existence. Killer thugs called the Rogues rule the American Southwest and attack its citizens at will. Worse, Ted's old nemesis Ginn leads the desert pirates and is still hunting for our hero after all these years. Ted meets Jock, a little person who talks of a rare plane's existence and the mysterious passengers onboard that may know the location of Ted's missing family.
Their discovery means they will have to travel to a mysterious location as fast as possible, but it's over two hundred miles away. To get there, the pair drive off in a stolen 1978 El Camino. However, Ginn learns of the secret too. With a psychotic ex-cop as a partner, an army of murderous thugs, and a pair of savage, man-eating boars in his arsenal, Ginn will stop at nothing until he gets Ted and the mysterious debt owed to him.
The chase is on. Outgunned and outnumbered, Ted and Jock will have to navigate the harsh Mojave Desert and its oddball characters as they race to find the clue before Ginn and his army catch up with him and spoil the party. For fans of Jack Reacher and Mad Max, Fury Road, you'll enjoy this edgy, fast-paced, and dark thriller. Normal paperback page count would be less than 400 pages. This is book two of The Doomsday Drifter series.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Mark DaSilva

The author, a Canadian transplant having lived in Southern California for most of his adult life, began his writing career penning 16 Hollywood screenplays in variety of genres. Wanting to expand his creative world, he has now transitioned to writing novels and has completed three so far; The Doomsday Drifter, Wrecking Man, and The Lost Safari. The college graduate in business also owned a wine company at one time and dearly misses it.
When not punching keys, he loves to spend time with his family, drink red wine, and diss movies he hates. Check out his website for more books and free script reads: markdasilvawriter.com
