Carmel T. MOONEY graduated from and works for University College Dublin where she is currently Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine. Her major research and teaching areas are in endocrine disorders of dogs and cats. She has lectured widely both nationally and internationally and has published many research articles in small animal endocrinology. Mark E. PETERSON is well known for his clinical research and teaching in small animal endocrinology.
Mark is the owner and director of the Animal Endocrine clinic, a specialty referral hospital devoted primarily to the diagnosis and treatment of cats with thyroid disease, where he conducts most of his clinical research. He also serves as adjunct Professor of Medicine at New York State College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University. Robert E. SHIEL is a graduate of University College Dublin. His main clinical and research interests are focused on small animal endocrinology, in particular thyroid and adrenal diseases, and disorders of water balance.
He is currently Professor of Small Animal Medicine at Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia.
