With a rich legacy from the asiatic reserves of the Louvre, the Guimet Museum has been in existence for more than a century. Two years ago we began the ambitious publication project of the collections. It accompanies the building renovation now underway. Companions of Eternity constitutes the second volume dedicated to ancient China. Major funerary art works from the Han to the Tang (206 BC-907 AD) are illustrated in full color with a trilingual commentary (French, English and Chinese). An indispensable tool for the amateur as well as the collector or the scholar.
