Debra N. Mancoff, Scholar-in-Residence at the Newberry Library, Chicago, has written extensively on the Pre-Raphaelites, including Danger ! Women Artists at Work (2012), The Pre-Raphaelite Language of Flowers (2012), Jane Morris : The Pre-Raphaelite Model of Beauty (2000) and Burne-Jones (1998). Her articles have appeared in such journals as Art Quarterly, Journal of Pre-Raphaelite Studies, Museum Studies/Art Institute of Chicago and the Princeton Library Journal, as well as the exhibition catalogues Love Revealed : Simeon Solomon and the Pre-Raphaelites (2005), Pre-Raphaelites and Other Masters : The Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection (2008) and Julia Margaret Cameron's Women (1998), and she edited the essay collection John Everett Millais : Beyond the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood (2001).
Her most recent book is The Face : Our Human Story (2018).
