Romantic piano music is particulary suitable for awakening and encouraging the pupil's desire to play with expression. In Volumes 2 and 3 of 'The European Piano Method' (ED 7931, 7932, 7933) this expressive, cantabile playing is particularly encouraged. The romantic book is specifically intended to further these qualities. All the great masters of the Romantic era, from Schubert to Reger, are represented by small yet typical pieces.
