Résumé

Grammar & Practice is designed for students of Business English who want to improve their grammar - from job-experienced adult learners working in a variety of professional fields, to pre-experience learners studying at universities and schools of business. It will particularly benefit learners who already have some experience of studying general English, but who need to develop their grammatical accuracy in order to be able to operate successfully in a professional, English-speaking environment. Grammar & Practice can be used either in the classroom or for self-study. Each four-page unit focuses on one of the key areas of English grammar that underpin a typical Business English syllabus. All exercises have a business-related context, with extensive use of authentic materials such as news articles, documents, graphs, and diagrams. Each unit consists of: a page of grammar explanation and examples, two pages of realistic, context-based practice exercises, a further page of less controlled production/transfer tasks. Other features include: answer key, easy-reference index, grammar glossary of terms and conventions, appendix containing spelling rules and lists of irregular verb.
