Production and exchange of virus-free plant propagating material in the Mediterranean region (Options méditerranéennes série B N° 35)

This issue includes the study "Production and exchange of virus-free plant propagating material in Mediterranean region", promoted and coordinated by IAM-Bari. The implementation of this study was the logical continuation of the activities carried out in the framework of the former CIHEAM/DGI Plant Protection Research Network during the period 1995-1998. This study is organised in the following chapters : presentation of activities, Mediterranean fruit tree industry : state of the art and challenges, certification programmes in the Mediterranean area : country reports, a common certification scheme for the region, a project proposal for the sanitary improvement of Mediterranean fruit tree crops and to ensure the food safety of local products.
