From 1909, the Italian flutist Leonardo de Lorenzo (1875-1962) mainly lived in the United States. His artistic career included loloist positions in great American orchetras (e. g. NYPO). Furthermore, he worked as a flute teacher, composer and author. He also created a lot of ingenious compositions and didactic works on the flute. After Lorenzo failed to gain attention for quite some time, he has recently been rediscovered - a fact which Zimmermann music publishers honour with newly edited archive material.
This edition is a revised version of the original edition. As Lorenzo's works are quite virtuoso, they require advanced flutists. Instrumentation : flute (clarinet in Bb) and piano op. 27/op. 37
