A true big band classic, for the first time available in print. Originally recorded by the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra on Solid State. Woodwind doubles : alto 1 and 2 double on flutes ; tenor 1 and 2, baritone double on clarinets. The arrangement works well without the woodwind doublings ; all notes are doubled in the trumpet section and in the piano part. Instrumentation : big band
