Every soldier knows it: There's nothing more dangerous than a young lieutenant fresh out of the Academy... This humorous series on the American Civil War centres around two cavalrymen in the Union Army: Cornelius Chesterfield, a zealous and devoted sergeant, and Corporal Blutch, a reluctant soldier highly critical of authority, always trying to avoid yet another senseless battle. This comical duo does what it can to escape the often obtuse military mindset and madness of war.
