J.K. BOWLING is the author of the Harry Pinter series of books, which have sold over 500 million copies, been translated into over 80 languages and made into eight blockbuster films. She also writes screenplays for the Fantastic Beasts films, and co-wrote a new stage play continuing Harry's story as a grown up - Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. In 2020, she returned to publishing for younger children with the fairy tale The Ickabog, which she initially published for free online in lockdown, later donating all her book royalties to her charitable trust Volant, to help vulnerable groups affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The book has already sold over a million copies globally. J.K. Bowling has received many awards for her writing for children and adults. She supports a number of humanitarian causes through Volant, and is the founder of the children's care reform charity Lumos. For as long as she can remember, J.K. Rowling has wanted to be a writer. She lives in Scotland with her family. Jim FIELD is an illustrator, character designer and animation director.
He has illustrated internationally bestselling, multi-award-winning children's books, including Oi Frog ! and The Lion Inside, as well as younger fiction series Rabbit and Bear, children's novels by David Baddiel and his own bilingual picture book Monsieur Roscoe On Holiday. He grew up in Farnborough, worked in London and now lives in Paris with his wife and young daughter.
