Biographie de Juan Carlos Jiménez de la Puerta
Juan Carlos Jiménez de la Puera graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1978. He obtained his PhD in Veterinary Medicine in 1993. He obtained a diploma in Vascular and Nerve Microsurgery from the University of Extremadura in 1987, as well as a diploma in Microsurgery from the Gregorio Maranón Hospital in 1988. He received a scholarship from the Madrid College of Veterinary Surgeons to complete an internship at the Department of Medicine and Experimental Surgery of the Gregorio Maranón Hospital in 1988, and another from the Centre for Industrial Technological Development to work at the Department of Cardiovascular Pharmacology of ALTER Laboratories (1989-1992).
He obtained a diploma in Echocardiography from the University of Murcia in 1996. In 1998 he won the AVEPA prize for scientific photography and was awarded the Miguel Luera prize in 2000. He is the author of several publications and papers in national and international journals and congresses. He has been working as a clinical veterinary surgeon since 1981 and has specialised in cardiology since 1988.
He has organised several scientific and artistic photography exhibitions.
